I strongly believe that we all carry within ourselves an inherent capacity to see clearly and to know precisely what to do. Whether it be in our work, personal or relational life; when we have access to our full awareness, we can navigate any circumstance.
Having access to clarity, however, requires having a regulated nervous system that is open and resourced to receive and process data. It is also the result of having all of our perceptive faculties online. This means that along with cognitive awareness, somatic and emotional awareness are working together to gather information.
We all have unique configurations for having access to presence and clarity. Being witnessed, getting validation and receiving specific feedback for your particular make up can have a profound impact.
My role in these one on one sessions is to support you in developing the conditions for clear seeing. We will examine what gets in the way of having a regulated nervous system and coming up with a plan for how to shift it back to a healthy functioning level. We will also develop and increase your capacity to use somatic and emotional intelligence to attune to both people and work situations to make effective decisions. In addition, we will investigate unconscious patterns that get in the way of you becoming your full potential. Using mindfulness techniques and neuroplasticity, we can focus on breaking free from old counterproductive habits so that you move towards being a leader that has more agency, confidence and skill.
Developing the ability to have access to your full awareness is the most valuable investment that you can make for yourself and your organization.
“My professional development goal this year was to strengthen my skills around working with students in crisis. I attended many workshops on the topic, yet ultimately my weekly mindful sessions with Aiko had the greatest impact in my growth. Our weekly sessions often came at the end of hectic and stressful days, and I relished the opportunity to relax and focus while Aiko led us through amazing sits. Aiko is wonderful about processing the experience with others in a supportive and non-judgmental way. She also effectively supports others through the various barriers or challenges that sometimes arise (such as self-judgment, intrusive thoughts, etc.). The calm and presence of mind that I was able to develop absolutely helped deepen and strengthen my work with students in distress.”
