David Doneff, ESL Teacher San Mateo Adult School

Aiko is an amazing mindfulness teacher. I’ve been feeling disconnected from myself for a long time. Sessions with Aiko – and the other amazing people who participate – have started me on the path of reconnection. A corollary is that I’m learning how to live my life from a more authentic place which I hope will be more fulfilling and joyful. I’ve been trying to figure these things out for many years, and now I see how the work I’m doing is leading in the right direction. Aiko’s teachings also dovetail perfectly with the other ways I’m working on this. I feel that what resonates so strongly with me is that the meditations and talks she leads are about creating a space where we can be our authentic selves together, which is so rare in this hectic 21st century, and all the more needed during COVID.

Reconnecting to Our Inner Knowing (via zoom)

Mondays: Sept 18th - Oct 9th, 7:30 - 9:30pm

What if navigating life were easier and simpler? What if instead of needing to spend so much time understanding and strategizing, we could just have access to clarity and insights? What if, like all other living creatures, we already have within us the inherent wisdom and capacity to thrive?

This series is an opportunity to try on this view through group experimentation. The invitation will be to put down the “figuring out” mind and to instead, be in the felt sense to solve problems and to create effective change.

We will use guided meditations, journaling, and partnered activities to get in touch with our “gut feelings” and to witness how this operating system can be more accurate in informing us about what is going on and more reliable in moving us towards skillful action. We will also use unstructured group discussions to step into the mystery of emergence to discover how co-created relational fields can support access to our own inner knowing.

Offered on a sliding scale donation of $250 - $200.
