Mindfulness Professional Development Opportunities
Let’s co-create a mindful professional development experience that will increase your organization’s capacity to carry out it’s vision and purpose!
Successful organizations are generative learning environments! Empower your team to be more engaged, collaborative and effective by making mindfulness a part of your work culture. Give your staff the tools to build safe, inclusive and productive spaces that foster clarity and creativity. Train them in how to meet challenges with resilience, how to communicate constructively and how to become more skillful decision makers.
Below are examples of past PD workshops. If you have a specific interest that is not listed, feel free to inquire on the Connect Page to discuss a learning experience that best fits your needs. All workshop lengths can be modified to have flexibility for the depth in which you are wanting to explore each topic.
shifting work culture with mindfulness
(3 Part Series)
This 3 part series focuses on how to use mindfulness to promote a work culture of more collaboration, efficiency, and creativity, to balance the shortage of resources, increase in the demands and chronic stress that most organizations are facing today.
Creating Inclusive Generative Spaces
This workshop will offer an experiential taste of what it is like to be immersed in a generative social field - where individuals, motivated by shared values, can become a single focused entity operating at a greater capacity. One in which the collaborative space fuels clarity, insights and creativity and where participants leave feeling nourished, inspired and transformed by the process.
Using Mindfulness to Foster Belonging
Join us in exploring how mindfulness can be used to foster a more connecting, inclusive and equitable workplace. Through a series of guided meditation and hands-on activities, this workshop will offer a safe space for participants to discover the root cause for “othering” and to see why this conditioning is so pervasive and hard to break. By investigating how the mind works, participants will witness how limiting beliefs are formed and how easy it can be to shift the view from differences being a problem to one where differences are a source of richness and strength.
From Scarcity to abundance
Where we place our attention affects our sense of reality! In this 2 hour workshop, participants will learn about the brain’s negativity bias and how to shift towards positivity to reconnect to abundance. The following themes will be explored:
· increasing emotional resiliency during times of stress to avoid burn out
· setting connecting boundaries to be of service without self-sacrifice
· asking and receiving support from the larger work community
cultivating Clarity and Choice
This 2 part series explores how meditation can be used as a refuge for difficult times. In the first session, participants learn techniques to break free from unhelpful thought patterns and how to meet difficult emotions with interest and care. In the second session, the practices of gratitude, compassion, and loving kindness will be explored to restore a more balanced perspective on reality.
Mindfulness for Challenging Times
Part 1: Being with what is happening
This session will explore meditation as a safe place to deeply listen, witness and be with all experiences. Participants will practice techniques to break free from unhelpful thought patterns and to meet difficult emotions with more compassion and care.
Part 2: Restoring a more balanced view
One of the mind’s survival strategies is being able to quickly detect threats or problems. While this can be helpful in keeping us safe, it can also perpetuate a chronic state of stress and anxiety. In this session, participants will learn how to use heart practices such as gratitude, compassion, love, and generosity to restore a more balanced perspective on reality.

Wise Use of Mind
(6 week series)
Our mind is an incredible feature and has allowed us to be one of the most successful species on this planet. Yet, evolution favors safety over accuracy… which creates an interesting dilemma for us: should the mind alone be the one calling the shots? What if we were asking it to do a job that is beyond its capacity? Have we placed too much emphasis on thinking and fallen out of balance with the other attributes that we have? How can we use the mind effectively and wisely?
Testimonial
“Aiko has a lot to offer in this field of study, on many levels, which can open and create avenues for awareness. She has a gift, a comfortableness about her presentation, and genuineness that allows trust. Aiko’s ability to shift, acknowledge, validate, and bring forth credibility to the moment is exceptional. Her approach is organized, well thought out, yet flexible to redirect and meet the new direction a session may take. She listens fully and responds with compassion and gratefulness for the personal thoughts and stories shared by others.”
